Visitor Center and historic buildings are open Friday through Tuesday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. The grounds continue to be open daily from ½ hour before sunrise until ½ hour after sunset.

Galloping Through History: Fort Scott Welcomes Army Horsemen
9 AM – 2 PM, Fort Scott National Historic Site
The Commanding General’s Mounted Color Guard from Fort Riley quarters horses in the Dragoon Stables as in the 1840s–50s, with cavalry horsemanship displays and wagon/mule team rides. Free, all ages.

Junk Journal Meet Up: Journals & Scrapbooking
10 AM, Buck Run Community Center

First United Methodist Church: Worship Service & Fellowship Picnic in the Park
10:30 AM, Shelter House #5, Gunn Park
Morning worship led by Pastor Christopher Eshelman, followed by a carry-in picnic. Bring a casserole, salad, side, or dessert to share. Drinks and table service provided, or bring your own picnic gear/lawn chair.
