U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) announced that applications are now open for Kansas students to apply to a United States Service Academy for the Class of 2031.
Senator Moran noted that one of his favorite duties as a U.S. Senator is appointing Kansans to the following academies:
- U.S. Military Academy — West Point, New York
- U.S. Naval Academy — Annapolis, Maryland
- U.S. Air Force Academy — Colorado Springs, Colorado
- U.S. Merchant Marine Academy — Kings Point, New York
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on September 18, 2026. After applications are reviewed, applicants will be notified of interviews with Senator Moran’s Service Academy Selection Board.
