Gordon Parks Museum Announces New Regular Hours                                                  

Fort Scott, Kan. – The Gordon Parks Museum, located on the campus of Fort Scott Community College, will observe new regular museum hours which began the week of August 3, 2026.

The museum’s regular hours are:

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Friday afternoons: Closed
Weekends: Closed

Hours may vary, so visitors are encouraged to call ahead to confirm the museum is open. The museum may be closed during college campus breaks, meetings, staff travel, and other college or museum activities.

The museum invites visitors to explore the life and legacy of Gordon Parks through its exhibitions, photographs, personal artifacts, and special displays. Visitors can learn more about Parks’ remarkable life and career as a photographer, filmmaker, writer, and musician.
