Flags at Half-Staff for Rep. Dan Goddard

TOPEKA – In accordance with Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly has directed flags throughout the State of Kansas to remain at half-staff after sundown on November 2, 2026, in honor of Representative Dan Goddard. Flags are to remain at half-staff until the day of interment, which will be announced at a later date.

Flags were previously at half-staff until sundown on November 2, 2026, in honor of farm workers’ rights leader Dolores Huerta.

“Representative Goddard was a true public servant, serving 24 years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot, then working to support economic development at closed military bases, and eventually serving in both the Kansas Senate and the Kansas House,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “My thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
