This week, U.S. Rep. Derek Schmidt welcomed Glen Smith, USDA Undersecretary for Rural Development, to Southeast Kansas for a rural housing roundtable in Fort Scott. Schmidt thanked everyone who joined the discussion and shared their perspectives, and also thanked USDA for presenting a $28,000 check to help address specific housing needs in Bronson.
