SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING
Minutes of January 9th, 2021 Special Meeting #1
A special meeting of the Fort Scott City Commission was held January 9th, 2021 at 6:15 p.m. in the City Commission Meeting Room, 123 S. Main Street, Fort Scott, Kansas.
ROLL CALL:
Commissioners Kevin Allen, Pete Allen, Randy Nichols and Lindsey Watts were present with Mayor Josh Jones presiding.
AUDIENCE IN ATTENDANCE: Don Osenbaugh, John Deardoff and selected candidates.
CONSIDERATION:

Interview selected candidates for the City Manager position.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
L. Watts moved that the City Commission recess into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel exception in K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1). The open meeting will resume in the Commission meeting room at City Hall at 2:00 p.m. R. Nichols seconded. All voted aye. This included the City Commission, Don Osenbaugh and John Deardoff.
L. Watts moved that the City Commission come out of Executive Session at 2:00 p.m. J. Jones seconded. All voted aye.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
L. Watts moved that the City Commission recess into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel exception in K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1). The open meeting will resume in the Commission meeting room at City Hall at 2:36 p.m. J. Jones seconded. All voted aye. This included the City Commission, Don Osenbaugh and John Deardoff.
L. Watts moved that the City Commission come out of Executive Session at 2:36 p.m. J. Jones seconded. All voted aye.

The open meeting will resume in the Commission meeting room at City Hall at 3:12 p.m. J. Jones seconded. All voted aye. This included the City Commission, Don Osenbaugh and John Deardoff.
L. Watts moved that the City Commission come out of Executive Session at 3:12 p.m. J. Jones seconded. All voted aye.
ADJOURNMENT:
L. Watts moved to adjourn the meeting at 3:15 p.m. J. Jones seconded. All voted aye.
