Good Ol’ Days Parade!
The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce is NOW taking entries for he GOOD OL’ DAYS PARADE that will take place in Fort Scott on Friday, June 2nd at 6pm.
We encourage you to get your business, organization, friends, or family together and enter a float, walking unit, golf cart, car/truck, tractor, horse entry, or other! It is FREE to enter the parade and cash prizes will be awarded in each category.

Open Mortgage

The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce invites members and guests to the Chamber Coffee Thursday, May 11th at 8am hosted by Open Mortgage located at 1 E. Main St. Coffee, juice, and light refreshments will be served in addition to a door prize drawing.
Open Mortgage maintains operations centers in Austin, TX, and Atlanta, GA, in addition to 71 branches in 26 states, including many third-party originators, in addition to an out-of-state referral program. Open Mortgage opened their Fort Scott location in December 2022. Open Mortgage is a multi-channel mortgage lender. They believe that better is possible, and they are constantly striving to bring a better mortgage experience to everyone.
Open Mortgage will be having a ribbon cutting and an open house that same day at their Fort Scott location, 1 E. Main, starting at 11:30am with La Hacienda catering to follow.
Chamber members and guests are invited to Chamber Coffee events each Thursday at 8 a.m. to network, make announcements, hear about happenings in the community as well as learn about the host business or organization.

FS Christian Heights School Annual Country Store This Saturday

Annual Country Store and Auction!
This year, we will be celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Fort Scott Christian Heights, and our 57th Annual Country Store and Auction! Nostalgic pictures and yearbooks will be on display for the day.
The day begins with registration (7:30) for our 5K and Fun Run/Walk (race begins at 8:00).
The Booths, Garage Sale rooms, and Bakery will be open from 9:00-3:00.
A fried-chicken dinner will be served from 4:00 until Auction time at 6:00.
The concession stand will run all day, and serve pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, taco salads, malts, shakes, and more!
Country Store offers a day of fun for everyone!
ALL ARE WELCOME!
*We are taking gently-used donations for the garage sale, and new items for the auction! Items can be dropped off anytime during school hours (8:00 – 3:45 Monday through Thursday).

The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce invites members to a Chamber After-hours & Ribbon Cutting Event to celebrate the opening of Riggs Chiropractic Fort Scott location! The event will take place on Thursday, May 4th from 5:15pm-6:30pm with the remarks and ribbon cutting starting at 6pm. After the Ribbon cutting and remarks, everyone is invited to come and go to see the business, enter the drawings, and enjoy refreshments.

Papa Don’s is celebrating their 12th anniversary this week in their current location, and 27 years in business overall! They have been doing some remodeling and updates to the store and we will hold a ribbon cutting directly after the Coffee to celebrate. This Mother/Daughter business is committed to bringing you the best quality of food and they are excited to continue to serve the community.

2023 Annual Town – Wide Garage Sale!
The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce announces the Spring Town-wide Garage Sale is, May 5th and 6th as well as the Pioneer Harvest Swap Meet at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds. To have your sale listed on the map, registrations need to be turned in by May 2nd.
Starting Thursday, May 4th, copies of the official garage sale map may be found at the Chamber office as well as local stores 5 Corners, Bids & Dibs, Casey’s, Don’s Smoke Shop, and all Pete’s locations. The map may also be found on the Chamber website fortscott.com or on Facebook on the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce page.
