
Mary Margaret Brown, age 84, a resident of Ft. Scott, Kansas, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was born October 2, 1941, in Garland, Kansas, the daughter of Albert Waring and Annie Dobelbower Waring. Mary was united in marriage to Earl D. Hull, and together they raised their four sons. Mary had been employed in the housekeeping department at Mercy Hospital for nearly forty years. Mary was gifted in crochet and made many blankets throughout the years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Quiet times at home were spent reading, coloring or doing word searches. Mary was a member of the Community Christian Church.
Survivors include her sons, Orville Harris and Ronald Harris, Jr. both of Ft. Scott, Earl Hull, Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas and Kevin Hull and wife, Peggy, also of Ft. Scott; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Effie Mitchell and Barbara Kellogg and husband, Ronny all of Ft. Scott and a sister-in-law, Ruth Waring of Garland, Kansas. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Lester Waring.
Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 4th at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Clarksburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Community Christian Church and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
