Asphalt Overlays Completed in Bourbon, Linn Counties
Paving projects have wrapped up on three Kansas highways in northern Bourbon County and southern Linn County, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Some work remains on the projects, but it will have a limited impact, if any, on traffic.
The first projects started in March and involved milling and patching in spots and adding an asphalt overlay on 23 miles of K-31 and K-65 between U.S. 69 and K-3. The remaining projects started in June and involved paving K-7 from the K-7/K-31 junction north to K-52 at Mound City in Linn County, a distance of about 9 miles.
Pearson Construction LLC, of Wichita, was the primary contractor for the projects, which totaled $4.8 million.
