Card over a photo of a Vote Here sign: 2026 General, Bourbon County. Unofficial Results. Bourbon County votes only. 4,635 ballots cast in the Nov. 3 general election. Results are not official until the county canvass.

These are unofficial results, and they are Bourbon County’s votes only. Bourbon County voters cast 4,635 ballots in Tuesday’s general election, according to the report the County Clerk’s office posted Tuesday night. The report was created at 9:57 p.m. on Nov. 3 and reached the county’s website at 9:58 p.m.

Federal, statewide, legislative and judicial contests are decided by voters beyond Bourbon County, so the county’s numbers below do not show who won those contests. Statewide results come from the Kansas Secretary of State.

In the county’s own races, Mike Hueston leads Clinton L. Walker 618 to 199 for County Commissioner District 1. Joe Allen in District 3 and Gregg Motley in District 4 had no opponent on the ballot. On the USD 235 question, the county’s report shows 382 No votes and 325 Yes votes.

None of these numbers are final. Results become official at the county canvass, where the Board of Canvassers also decides which provisional ballots count. The county’s election notice sets the canvass for Monday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m. in the Commission Room of the Bourbon County Courthouse. The county’s election page says the post-election audit is Thursday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. in the same room.

About this report

The county’s report lists vote counts only. FortScott.biz calculated the percentages from those counts. Each percentage is a share of the votes in that contest, including write-ins. Names appear as they do in the report, and party labels come from the county’s published candidate notice.

The report does not say how many precincts it includes. For comparison, the county’s unofficial report for the 2022 general election showed 4,822 ballots cast, with all precincts counted.

The date printed at the top of the report reads Oct. 27, 2026, 9:57:33 a.m. The file itself was created at 9:57 p.m. on Nov. 3, and its name is dated 11.03.26, so FortScott.biz is using the Nov. 3 time.

FortScott.biz will report the official totals after the canvass.
