Arcadia, KS – Arcadia may only have a few hundred people, but that isn’t stopping them from continuing the city’s yearly festival. “It’s about the kids,” Landon Young could be heard saying from the evening concert stage.
It certainly was about the kids. The festival kicked off at 10am with a parade, led by Grand Marshall, Thelma Medley. Many activities followed throughout the day including a cake walk, lunch: free beans and cornbread (which was very tasty!), bingo and concluded with a free concert.
All proceeds and donations will go towards making sure each child in the community will have a Christmas gift and a visit from Santa sometime in December.
