Vickie Sue Floyd, 58, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 27th in Nevada, Missouri surrounded by family.
Vickie was born on January 26, 1968, in Fort Scott, Kansas to Ronald Gene Johnson and Carol Sue Lowry Faith. She grew up in Fort Scott, Kansas. Vickie was a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for over 30 years taking care of many others who needed her stewardship.
Vickie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness and love towards everyone. Her love for her family was amazing. She especially enjoyed fishing and sports. She was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed attending or watching their games. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren as she would light up around each one of them.
Vickie is survived by her loving companion of 15 years Larry Osborne, five kids Trey Silvola and wife Brook, Kimberly Coates, Megan Floyd, Gary Floyd II and wife Breanna, Tiera Floyd, eleven grandchildren Rylee, Asher, Khadyn, Finley, Brooklynn, Kamani, Jorraun, Jadyn, Jordin, Wriggley, Jerrickson, and Trenton.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Emma Lowry and grandfather Louis Lowry, paternal grandmother Anna Mae Ruby Johnson and grandfather Russell Gene Johnson, and son-in-law Harold Coates.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at a date and place to be announced later.
